Following is the short form of ECBC's Statement of Faith.

The Bible

The Bible, all 66 books of the Old & New Testaments, are inspired by God, and are the sole foundation of our faith, and the sole guideline for our Christian walk.

God

God, the Holy Trinity, consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

• God the Father reigns with providential care over His universe.
• God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the only begotten Son of God. He was there with the Father before the creation of the universe. He is the Word who became flesh, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Under the rule of Pontius Pilate, He was crucified for all the sinners of the world. His precious blood became the ransom for our eternal condemnation. He overcame death, was resurrected, and ascended into heaven. Today He sits at the right hand of the throne of God the Father, acting as the mediator for all believers. One day He will come back to receive His own, and judge the living and the dead.
• God the Holy Spirit guides us, convicts us, and lives within our hearts. He is also the Counselor who comforts and helps us.

Salvation

Any sinner who believes in Jesus Christ as the only Savior will be pardoned, justified, and receive eternal life.

The Church

The Church is a spiritual body founded and headed by Jesus Christ. According to the principles of the New Testament, the local church has total autonomy under the leadership of God.
