For ECBC, The year of 2009 was definitely one which reflected the theme of the year, Growing in Christ. Not only did the average attendance increase in the pews, but we grew in other ways and met some of the goals set at the beginning of the year.

The English congregation has definitely had its share of unique worship styles and services in 2009, ushering the year with one where the whole congregation as symbolically an offering on the altar by having the whole service on the stage.

The Cantonese congregation had a special multimedia outreach production at ECBC on Sunday evening sharing the story of Christmas and how it is applicable to modern life. The story followed a couple of actors on a stage rehearsing for a Christmas play. Read more

As the double-digits arrive in the Y2K era, the English congregation is growing with two new recent fellowships. A couples fellowship for young couples aims to find God as the center of a loving relationship, and in an age of women's equality and social pressures, women can take refuge in the promises of God while participating in crafts activities. The English and Children's Congregations now have mobile friendly websites available. The Children's beta site was launched early Thursday morning, while the English alpha site was launched early Wednesday. Those entering the ECBChurch.org site from the main domain page may have noticed that in addition to the options of the Chinese, English, and Children congregations, the Mobile option is now available. In an effort to allow your visit to ecbchurch.org a more interactive experience and to keep up to date with relevant web technology, the website will be undergoing some minor and major updates to bring on a supporting and active social community. New English Congregation Publication in the Works
This summer, we return to semi-weekly publications and we are looking for a name and avid reporters and photographers. If you want to learn more about press and publishing, please contact Lincoln at lincoln.ho@ecbchurch.org. The contest for a name ends July 1.

After 6 weeks of intense challenges, two elimination rounds, over 83562 online votes, and a live finale vote of 70+ strong, a 20 year old postal worker emerged as the Season 3 Faith Rock Star at 9:40 PM on Friday, June 19th.
