2009 Mission Trip Hockey Tournament

Congratulations to Super Dave who came out as the winner of the tournament! They are the recipients of the 2009 ECBC Missions Trip Hockey Tournament trophy as presented by "Don Cherry" who made a special appearance to present the awards. Super Dave also received Panda Hut Express gift certificates and The Laugh Stop certificates for their efforts. Congratulations also to LCBC Gold who came a close second! For their perseverance, they too received Panda Hut Express and Ric's Grill gift certificates. I would also like to congratulate the team members of Velocity, Domination Nation, HMCS Nonsuch, Pylons, Maniax, NEAC, LCBC Red, and Jesus Wannabes for playing clean, fun hockey and displaying good sportsmanship.

I would like to thank everyone who came out in support of the 2009 ECBC Missions Trip Hockey Tournament this weekend! Thank you to all the volunteers who donated their time and efforts in helping making this event successful. I would like to mention a special thanks to the zebras Tawa, Stephen, and Dennis for their wonderful job of 'reffing'. Thanks Winnie for handling registrations, Melissa for her behind-the-scenes help, Ardell and Stella for cooking, and Agnes and Chester for their donation. However, the list of names is a mile long, so can't name them all!

But of course, the biggest winners are the people of Rae-Edzo, NWT. The funds raised by the tournament will support a delegation of 18 from Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church as they return to Behchoko to share, experience, and learn about God's Good News and love with the people of Rae.
