Mission Team Learns to Make Balloon Sculptures
Lincoln Ho
Members of the 2009 Rae Mission Trip took the time to learn how to make balloon sculptures on Saturday with Edmonton balloon artist Charis Hamm. Charis shared ways to evangelise using the balloons and the colours associated with the sculptures. She is among Family Edmonton’s top 5 female entrepreneurs of 2008 with her Graceful Balloon Art enterprise.
Among the various things the team learned to make was of course the dog, giraffe and mouse. But the team also learned to make flowers, palm trees, swans, and bracelets. Pastor Ng even tried his hand in making some of the balloon sculptures.
The people who attended the introductory learning session also received a package of balloons and a double-valve balloon pump as a thing to take away to practice and entertain others.
The 15 member Rae mission team from three congregations will take place July 24 - Aug3. Updates will come in the following weeks.
