Kids publish The Waffle during Super Sleuth Sunday
A Waffle of Fun!
Super Sleuth Sundays kick-off summer program
This program will take children into a world of imagination and discovery. We going to make the mundane things and make them extraordinary. Children will have to discover God`s wonderful mysteries within our world by cooking, gardening and several more fun filled activities.
Last Sunday, the grade 5-6 class had the opportunity to experience the newsroom as they had to work in groups to create a newspaper and meet the deadline in one class! The class learned about the elements making up a newspaper and then had to create those elements – a logo, name, articles, picture spot, and a short article – and have a layout created and published! Only one team was able to accomplish this task, but the other teams all learned an invaluable lesson on teamwork and creativity. The team created "The Waffle" (picture above).
