Edmonton’s Capital Ex – The exhibition runs until next Sunday the 26th. For this years acrobat extravaganza, The 2010 Toyoto Tundra is presenting Cirque Shanghai Bai Xi.
Taste of Edmonton - Check out the Taste of Edmonton. It runs concurrent with Capital Ex and takes place on Churchill Square. After having a bite, hop on the LRT for Ed Fest happening at the Northlands Grounds as well.
Ed Fest – Included with admission to Capital Ex, Ed Fest includes Edmonton locals the Stereos and Adam Gregory, Alberta’s Paul Brandt, and Our Lady Peace... who will release their newest studio album on Tuesday.
Gospel Without Words Film Fest – Film your language-free Gospel video for a chance to win a $250 prize. The submission deadline is Aug 28.
AGA Contest – After submitting your video to the Gospel Without Words Film Festival, you can continue shooting to enter the the Art Gallery of Alberta’s 1-MINUTE of REAL LIFE Video Contest. Who knows... if you film it right, you can do one video meeting both contest requirements!
Fly Me to the Moon in IMAX – Thursday was the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s first step on the moon. While NASA admits that the original moon landing tape was recorded over, you can be sure to take front row seats at for the HD-of-film animated short at the TELUS World of Science.
Discover Alberta’s History – Take a tour of Alberta’s historic museums and sites by getting an annual pass for $30. AMA members get a discount off that. An annual pass for the Royal Alberta Museum is already $35.
