Films without dialogue which delivers the Gospel story or message.
Categories
A) Films under 1 minute
B) Films under 10 minutes
C) Films over 10 minutes
Rules
1. As with the theme of the festival, all submissions in the main feature must NOT include any dialogue. This definition includes the use of spoken words, lyric in music, or text within the feature. Text may be used in the opening and closing credits.
2. Submissions must NOT use any copywritten material including video, images, or music. Use of non-copyright or original material (music, images, film clips) from public domain or creative commons must be referenced in the credits. This means that original media or media used with permission from the artist may be used as long as the artist is aware of the usage within the film.
3. Submissions (with the exception of films over ten minutes) must be submitted as a DATA file in mpeg or windows media format as a hard copy (USB, CD, or DVD). Films over ten minutes may be submitted as a data file or as a DVD video. Minimum dimensions at 320 pixels, but 640 or above is preferred. If you are submitting from a long-distance, please see number 7.
4. Submissions not meeting the rules are subject to immediate disqualification from the contest.
5. There is no maximum number of submissions.
6. Although you continue to have rights to your work, by submitting your work, you are giving Ecbico Productions and affiliate outreach divisions the right to use the video in future use including the purpose of gospel outreach and public presentations. Your video may also be posted on the internet and available to the general public.
7. Submissions must be submitted to and in the mailbox of Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church c/o Lincoln Ho | 11112 109 Ave | Edmonton, AB | T5H 1E1 by April 17, 2011 at 23:59. Overseas or long-distance submissions may be submitted online providing a link to the file is sent into FilmFest@telus.net by the same deadline.
8. Winners and honourable mentions will be broadcasted during the Film Fest night at Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church starting at 7PM on April 25, 2010. Winners will also be revealed on that night and do NOT need to be present. The winning prize is $250. Other prizes are based on offering and sponsors.
