English Ministries at Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church oversees Sunday School starting at grade seven. Using a mix of Bible studies and Bible based topical studies and through interaction and instruction, our goal is that students will be able to understand the Bible and apply it to their lives in a way that they can share with others. Everyone is welcome to join Sunday School, Sunday mornings at 11am.

Sunday School is often thought of as something for children; but that is only partly true. At ECBC we are happy to have Sunday School for all ages. It is a place where you can ask questions, hear truth found in the Bible and be challenged to think about what you believe. If you want to go deeper in your faith or want to understand more about the Bible, we would like to invite you to give Sunday School a try. We know you will not be disappointed.

Sunday School is divided into two major groups: Jr./Sr. High and Adults. The two major groups are broken into smaller classes based on need and curriculum choices. The Jr./Sr. High are currently using Known Curriculum by Lifeway.

For more information about current youth classes please contact the Sunday School Servant Leader, Stephen Brown - stephen.brown@ecbchurch.org.

For adults, we plan to have two tracks of learning: 1) Explore the Bible (ETB) and 2) Topical Studies. The ETB track is a systematic Bible study created by Lifeway. By following this track, one would cover (get a taste of) all the books of the Bible in eight years. The second track will be a topical study. Past offerings include Seeking Him, by Nancy Leigh Moss, Survival Kit, Jesus on Leadership by Gene Wilkes, Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. These studies often require daily readings and reflection and are suitable for Christians who are seeking to grow their faith in a disciplined way with accountability from their fellow learners. Our vision is to provide a safe, learning environment for non-Christians and Christians who seek to know more about God and to make God evident in their lives.

In 2010, we plan to offer the following books of study for the Explore the Bible track: Old Testament: Exodus and Leviticus, New Testament: Galatians and James. For Topical Studies, we anticipate offering: Fresh Encounters and a study on stewardship and money. Classes will be adjusted according to need.

We hope to see you at Sunday School.

If you have questions about adult Sunday School please contact Agnes Leung - agnes.leung@ecbchurch.org.
