Mily Get Hitched

While Pastor Tawa Anderson performed his last ordinance at ECBC Saturday in a wedding ceremony, the focus of the day was no doubt the wedding of Michael Brown and Lily Ma. The events of the day saw both Chinese and Western cultural practices celebrated as traditional pick-up and tea ceremonies took place early during the day and western ceremony in the afternoon. At 3:30pm the couple was officially wed by Reverend Tawa Anderson after walking down the aisle at ECBC. A song "So Tell Me..." was specially written for the event and was delivered to the couple while the official wedding documents were signed and the ceremonial candle was lit. After a short reception, the couple took time aside to capture wedding photos at the place where they met, the University of Alberta. The reception took place at the faculty club.

The couple would like to thank everyone for the gifts, help, and support. The newly-weds left Sunday on their honeymoon to Vancouver Island.
