Plentiful for Food Bank Drive

The Edmonton Food Bank is a non-profit organization that started with two simple realizations: there were people in the community that were suffering from hunger and that food was being wasted in the community. Put two and two together and you can see the opportunity to change some things for the greater good. This Friday Oct 31 was an opportunity to help feed the hungry in the city. We had the food drive in the Queen's Mary Community this Friday which lasted for about an hour and we were able to see the willingness of people in this community to help. It was great seeing all the food that was donated!

I think we were able to fill up most of Tawa's office with all the donations! The area here may not look the richest or greatest in all of Edmonton, but it doesn't take much to help if everyone pitches in. We had a wonderful team of people and we want to thank everyone that came! We also had a pumpkin carving contest (not really a contest) afterwards, which was fun. =D
