Church Leader Series: Patrick Fung

The Fungs

Patrick Fung has been serving as a teacher and leader in the Childrens Ministry for many years now and fits perfectly with his occupation as a grade one elementary school teacher at Strathcona Christian Academy Elementary School. He likes reading, movies, music, and WOW. He loves teaching children. Married to Dorothy Fung with two sons Brasen and Baron, he returns this year as the Childrens Ministry Worship Leader.

He always wants to see excited children coming to worship and Sunday School and even more excited when he sees the spiritual growth in the children each year. This year he wants to focus on becoming a better communicator with children and parents. Fitting in with the 2009 church theme, he would like to see growth in biblical knowledge and understanding our roles as christians in the world. A passage that he believes best represents his position as the childrens leader is the story of Jesus so that one is able to see God's big picture.

In a typical Sunday in the ministry, it begins at 9:30 with singing, an object lesson, Bible story, more singing, life application sessions, and closing off with worship and a movie about the days life application.
