Easter Passion Plays

A friend of ECBC is starring in a minor role at Millwoods Assembly (formerly Millwoods Pentecostal Assembly) during their free Easter musical "A Musical Passion Play: What If?". She plays a Samaritan woman in the play and has a conversation with Jesus. It is from April 4th to 7th with 7:30PM performances on Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday. On Sunday, the performance is at 3PM. There is nursery care as well. Millwoods Assembly is located at 2225 - 66St (across the street from the Southwest corner of Millwoods Town Centre). A group of ECBC members plan on attending the Palm Sunday performance on the 5th at 3PM and all are welcome to join.

In the Lenten season leading up to Easter, another locally produced musical Love According to John will be in performance at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. The Alberta Lyric Theatre production enters its 37th year and stars live animals on stage. Often supported by local churches as an outreach opportunity, the show has faced difficulties in the past in monetary support and stolen props in a 'persecution crime' but has always been provided with blessings to deliver the passion musical. The 3 hour musical plays this year from April 8-11th with tickets available from Christian Book and Record, Universal Church Supplies, Inspirations, and the Canadian Bible Society.
