English Mobile Alpha Site

The English and Children's Congregations now have mobile friendly websites available. The Children's beta site was launched early Thursday morning, while the English alpha site was launched early Wednesday. Those entering the ECBChurch.org site from the main domain page may have noticed that in addition to the options of the Chinese, English, and Children congregations, the Mobile option is now available. So far, the Children's site is now available as a complete mobile site, while the English site is run as through a Goodle mobile translator. For anyone using a PDA or mobile device and wants to bookmark the mobile interface, the direct page for the mobile site is ecbchurch.org/mobile.

Children's Mobile Beta Site

Over the next while, the mobile site will be updating to a more mobile friendly site. Currently, the pages are read through a Google mobile reader which converts every page so mobile devices can view the content as best as possible. Soon, most of the mobile links will be independent and mostly consist of important text and content about ECBC, with links to current news pages. Updates to the Children's mobile site will include new photos and options to dial contacts right from the mobile page. Information about the other congregations at ECBC, including the Mandarin congregation, will also be added in the near future. The new medium, along with the main website upgrades with web 2.0 interfaces, are part of a move to make our website relevant to web and mobile technology as the next decade arrives.
