HGTV Donates New Building to ECBC (April Fools' Joke)
Exterior Almost Complete
Note: This article is an April Fools' Joke. It is a new building for ECBC, but for Evangel. They built it without HGTV.
After negotiations with Alberta Land Title Registry and the CTV Television Consortium over the use of industrial zoning for non-profit use, ECBC received a new donated building set to be the new home of ECBC on Monday for the price of $1 for the land purchase. The building which is being finished by an HGTV Series selected ECBC in a lottery of churches selected by the television network owned by CTV. The news of the building donation was almost joyfully released Sunday during the Special Membership meeting when the chairman Kam Chan was sharing about ECBCs plan to remove "Chinese" off of Edmonton Chinese Baptist Church.
Inside the Sanctuary
The new building features 7 multiuse classrooms with one main sanctuary all on one floor. It is fully wheelchair accessible with a fully furnished gymnasium and kitchen. The HGTV series "Building for God" featuring the blitz build similar to Extreme Home Makeover, will begin airing this Summer on the home-renovation specialty channel. More to come on this story.
