Sketches for Foyer Design
The front panel includes a glass protection with two digital frames with expansion for other congregations. It allows space to feature library books and special seasonal displays. Two recessed spaces allow floral arrangements with a support for writing or placing mugs. Built-in space allows space for welcome brochures, offering/contact-card box, and a directory to direct newcomers. Possible expansion would make the sanctuary door a sliding door to give more floor space and reduce congestion. A light panel allows CFL bulbs to light up the space using mirrows to maximize lighting. This doubles as a space for seasonal decorations.

The stylish cushioned bench could be changed to a more realistic rectangular cafe couch. This bench includes storage space underneath for brochures or other items. The attached phone stand has a built in garbage and recycling which is also used for the office copier as well. Above the stand, a magazine rack allows space for publications. A light panel allows CFL bulbs to light up the space using mirrows to maximize lighting. This doubles as a space for seasonal decorations.

The windows are caulked and additional 'stick-on' translucent frosting is added on the glass both to act as insulation and to add a modern stylistic twist to stained-glass windows. Weather stripping is redone for the door.

Sketches for Major Renovation (future vision)
A covered-ramp allows safe access for all seasons from the main level to the gym and bathrooms. In the expanded foyer, a service elevator provides access to the basement level. An extra entrance to the sanctuary is added to allow more traffic to pass through in peak periods. Stairs are extended out and underneath, an additional naturally lit classroom is added. The library is converted to a sound-absorbing nursery. Flower bed is added under the ramp.

Sketches for Cross Placement (future vision)
Locations for a proposed cross project for ECBC. The cross is one of the most recognized symbols of Christianity around the world, and in many geographic regions, distinguishes a recognized congregation with the mainstream Christian communities. The two most fitting cross placements would be above the front alcove, and a church sign/flower bed at the front. Click for a forum discussion on a cross designation.
